Oversight Named in Gartner Hype Cycle for Process Management 2014

ATLANTA – September 18, 2014 – Oversight Systems today announced that, Gartner, the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company, named Oversight Systems as a sample vendor in three Gartner Hype Cycle Reports. Oversight was named as a sample vendor in the “Hype Cycle for Business Process Management, 2014”, the “Hype Cycle for Governance, Risk and Compliance Technologies, 2014”, and the “Hype Cycle for Advanced Analytics and Data Science, 2014.”

The Gartner Hype Cycles (published each year) provide a graphic representation of the maturity and adoption of technologies and applications, and how they are potentially relevant to solving real business problems and exploiting new opportunities. Gartner Hype Cycle methodology offers a view of how different types of technology will evolve over time, providing a sound source of insight to manage its deployment within the context of specific business goals.

According to the analysis by W. Roy Schute and Michele Cantara in the Gartner Hype Cycle for Business Process Management, 2014 report, “Decisions in an intelligent operation are better informed, more precise and consistent, and can be made more quickly than conventional, unaided decisions.” The report goes on to state, “Highly intelligent business processes have the potential to transform business practices and even overturn long-held business model assumptions.”
