Who is Your Account Manager, and What Do They Do?

My favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger movie is Kindergarten Cop (Twins is a close second). If you haven’t seen the movie (do so immediately), it’s about a cop who goes undercover as a Kindergarten teacher trying to find a drug lord before the drug lord finds his ex-wife and son. I know what you’re thinking—the film’s a blockbuster. Anyway, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character, John Kimble, is trying to figure out which of the children is in danger, so he asks, “who is your daddy, and what does he do?” As the saying goes, “kids say the darndest things...”

This makes me think of how I explain the Account Manager role to prospective customers.

With Oversight, you’re assigned an Account Manager who will be with you throughout your evaluation of the tool. From the Test Drive onward, you’ll have direct contact with your Account Manager, who will make sure that you’re seeing value with your Insights On Demand solution.

During the 2-week evaluation period, they will schedule a working session with you to show you some tips and tricks for using the solution. The hour-and-a-half allotted for the Trial presentation is not nearly enough to cover all of the neat functionality of the tool, so they’re always happy to walk through anything with you in follow-up sessions.

When you see that Oversight is right for you and decide to move forward as a production customer, your Account Manager will be responsible for training and support. Our goal at Oversight is to make you successful. Making you successful means that we do what we say we’re going to do.

Doing what we say we’re going to do means that you’re getting what you want from the Oversight tool.

You getting what you want from the Oversight tool means you’re happy.

Having you happy is our number one priority.

Why are Account Managers involved so early in the game? To answer simply, I’ll quote one of my favorite Oversighters of all time—my former colleague, Chris Rossie, “we treat prospects like clients and clients like prospects.” Our solutions speak for themselves, truly, and our customer service is next level. So, during the Test Drive, we want you to feel what it’s like to be an Oversight client. So that’s what Account Managers do- make you feel like a “real customer” from day one.
