As part of our monthly “Company Culture” blog series, we’re publishing interviews with Oversight team members so clients and prospects can get to know us better. Started in 2015 by Oversighter Julia Versaci, we’ve been chronicling employee interviews for almost a full year now. How exciting! We are so pleased with the success and popularity of these posts and enjoy allowing our customers to “get an inside peek” at the people they talk to when engaging with Oversight’s solutions.
The fun is in the interview, but also in what comes next. The “rules” of the interview series are that once you’ve been interviewed for the blog, the subject then picks another person in the office they’d like to get to know better to interview. It’s a fun cycle and we enjoy compiling these for you!
This month, it’s Ashlee Holmes, (one of the members of our blog squad) who also works as an Account Manager. Samantha, who did an interview back in April, actually started at Oversight at the same time as Ashlee, and then they both became Account Managers at the same time as well. With such a close working relationship, they’ve been friends ever since!
Q (Samantha): How long have you been working for Oversight?
A (Ashlee): I’ve been working for Oversight for about 2 ½ years.
Q (Samantha): What are some of your duties in your role?
A (Ashlee): As an Account Manager, my primary responsibility is to ensure our clients are successful with Oversight. We serve as the primary Oversight contact for our clients, provide any training, make/suggest refinements, and entertain them. J
Q (Samantha): How did you get started in this area?
A (Ashlee): Like you, I started working at Oversight in Account Development where I spoke with companies before they were clients. I had only ever heard about the value our clients were seeing, so I was naturally interested in seeing firsthand how our clients were using Oversight. When a couple of positions opened up in Account Management, you and I both snagged them!
Q (Samantha): Do you have any favorite stories from your time working at Oversight?
A (Ashlee): The time you rapped for a dry-erase board was pretty epic (the things we do for office supplies….)
I also very much enjoyed the time Chris Ficquette dressed up as Spiderman and scared the “resources” out of our HR Superhero, Terri Jones.
Another favorite was our Christmas party where there was a Murder Mystery theme, and I guessed the murderer and the motive (Sherlock Holmes, much?). I’m still completely stunned that I can’t win a single game of Clue, though—which is ultimately keeping me from following my passion of solving crimes.
Q (Samantha): What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
A (Ashlee): I like hanging out with my cats and getting their perspectives on some controversial human issues. When I’m not doing that, I like to hang out at new Atlanta “hotspots” and watch couples on awkward first dates.
Q (Samantha): What do you like the most about working for Oversight?
A (Ashlee): I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to work with. We all come from very different places and complement each other in such interesting ways.
Q (Samantha): Any words of wisdom that you want to share with our customers?
A (Ashlee): I’d like to leave you with a quote from one of my favorite clients, “You can’t compartmentalize integrity.”
